Nothofagus forest Metagenome. leaf metagenome

Fungal communities associated with living leaves of four Nothofagaceae species are compared in order to investigate the poorly understood influence that host species and locality has on the distribution of New Zealand’s native fungi. The species present within bulk DNA extracts from leaf tissue were detected using 454 amplicon sequencing.
