资源简介:
Auxenochlorella protothecoides UTEX 2341 (former Chlorella minutissima UTEX 2341), was provided by The UTEX Culture Collection of Algae of the University of Texas at Austin and is a eukaryotic unicellular green microalga originating in Japan. Its cell size is about 2-10 μm with shape variating from spherical to oval and is characterized by its single chloroplast, its rigid cell walls and its flagella absence. This marine organism acquires organic compounds through photosynthesis or heterotrophically by utilizing environmental organic sources. It is among algal species that have been reported to produce valuable cell products potentially useful as a non-food source in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, human and animal nutrition industry. Its high lipid content and its fast growth make A. protothecoides UTEX 2341 a promising microalga in biofuel production. Whole genome sequencing was performed by Next Generation Sequencing method Illumina 2000 HiSeq.
