Particle trajectory files for "Major-minor-trace element analyses and oceanographic modelling confirms circumpolar transport of the 1962 Protector Shoal pumice raft"
收藏资源简介:
Summary: This dataset contains the particle trajectory files used in Monteath et al. (2025). The particle tracking was conducted with Ocean Parcels (Delandmeter & van Sebille, 2019; https://oceanparcels.org) and run offline using daily surface velocities from an ACCESS-OM2-01 interannually-forced simulation (Kiss et al. 2020; https://dx.doi.org/10.25914/608097cb3433f), combined with Stokes drift hindcast velocities from Wave Watch III (Rascle and Ardhuin, 2013; ftp.ifremer.fr/ifremer/ww3/HINDCAST/GLOBAL/). Particles represent pumice clasts originating from the Protector Shoal seamount. Each netcdf file contains particle trajectory positions (latitude and longitude) saved at a 2-day temporal resolution. The script used to run the main particle tracking experiments is also available in this repository.
