This English handwritten OCR dataset consists of 14,511 samples. The text is written on various carriers including A4 paper, ruled paper, specialized English writing paper, and other common stationery. All data was collected using mobile phones with an eye-level shooting angle. The dataset content spans multiple domains such as English compositions, poetry, prose, news articles, short stories, and more. For annotation, this dataset provides quadrilateral bounding boxes for line-level text and corresponding line-level text transcriptions. This dataset is applicable to English handwritten OCR tasks.
