资源简介:
The Solar Radiation (SOLRAD) series 1, 4, 6 - 10 collected solar X-ray
and ultraviolet data during numerous intervals in the years 1960 -
1973. The data consist of photon fluxes in various wavelength bands,
recorded in tables, plots and catalogs on microfiche, and on digital
magnetic tapes. The instrumentation and quantity of data improved
with succeeding spacecraft in the series.
The SOLRAD series was designed to provide continuous coverage of
wavelength and intensity changes of solar radiation in the UV, soft
and hard X-ray ranges. The various experiments from which data sets
are held at NSSDC are tabulated below.
SOLRAD Experiment Wavelengths/Energies Time of Coverage
1 X-ray and L-alpha Study 2 - 8, 1050 - 1350 A 6/22/60 - 11/ 1/60
7A Solar X-ray and UV Flux 2 - 60, 1225 - 1350 A 1/11/64 - 2/ 3/65
7B Solar X-ray Monitoring 0.5 - 60 A 3/10/65 - 10/31/65
Equipment
8 Sol. X-ray and UV Mon. 0.5 - 60, 1080 - 1350 A 11/27/65 - 8/24/67
9 Sol. Rad. Detector ' ' ' ' 3/ 8/68 - 4/30/74
20 - 80 keV
10 ' ' ' 0.08 - 20, 44 - 60 A 1/ 1/72 - 6/30/73
170 - 700, 1080 - 1350 A
1450 - 1600 A
Data sets from the above experiments are held at NSSDC. Some solar
X-ray data still are held at the Principal Investigator institute, the
Naval Research Laboratory. Data from the most recent spacecraft,
SOLRAD 11, are in the process of being acquired by NSSDC. Requests
for SOLRAD 11 data should be addressed first to R. W. Kreplin, NRL.
NSSDC will satisfy requests for data from the other missions.
For further detailed information, see NSSDC data catalog 5A & 5B.
