An Automated Deep Learning Framework for Quantitative Phenotyping of Head Pigmentation Spots in Atlantic Salmon (Salmo salar)

This repository contains three distinct datasets related to salmon image annotation, developed for computer vision tasks in aquaculture research. 1. salmon_body_obb A collection of 684 images annotated with oriented bounding boxes (OBB) for whole-body salmon detection. 2. salmon_head A collection of 142 images annotated across ten regions of interest (ROIs) on the salmon, including: Head Eye Adipose fin Dorsal fin Caudal fin Anal fin Pelvic fin Pectoral fin Body ROI (the area surrounding the gill lid, extending from behind the gill lid to the dorsal fin and down to the lateral line) 3. salmon_spots A collection of 998 images annotated with melanin spot locations on the head region of the salmon.
