Week 3 Lab. Woodlot data set 4

In this study, we randomly chose 10 adult trees in the woodlot at York University (Keele campus) to obtain our measurement. These selective adult trees were in same species (American beech). For each adult tree, we chose one nearest sapling with the same species and then used transect measuring tape to measure the adult tree's diameter at breast height (dbh) and sapling's dbh. We also used transect tape to measure the distance between each adult tree to its sapling.The vastness and extension of branch and leaves of each adult tree was estimated by using a square of fingers to see the coverage of the sky. The scale was from 1 to 5. These datas were obtained on Monday September 22, 2014 at 4 pm and the weather was sunny but a bit cloudy with temperature around 16 degree celsius.
