This point in time vector dataset consists of existing land use and impervious cover data for Bexar County, Texas. Values are representative of a particular land use type but will not precisely match the observed situation (aerial photography) in all cases. Likewise, the dataset is not intended to provide precise land use information detailed to the individual property level. The dataset will provide reasonable estimations for use in the derivation of hydrologic parameters. In some cases the land classifications have been modified to more closely match the observed impervious cover rather than the true land use classification. These occurrences are fairly uncommon and primarily involve switches from commercial to industrial land use classifications. In this dataset, Texas A&M San Antonio Regional Center has been replaced with a similar current land use dataset that was verified by SARA GIS to represent the most accurate LULC and SARB code.
