Data supporting the publication "Data supporting "How Cross-Linking Influences the Electrochemical Properties for Brush-Functionalized Electrodes" in Langmuir (vol. 42, issue 13, 9008-9020), published March 2026.<br><strong>Supporting experimental data includes:</strong><em>Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) data.</em> Objective: Determine the resistive and capacitive characteristic of PSPMA brushes with varying crosslinker contents, either with/without redox probe, and for brush immersed in 0.1 M KOH or 0.1 M KCl medium. Files: EIS experimental and fitting data (xls), categorized by the swelling medium (KOH/KCl) and variable (crosslinker content/brush thickness).<em>Grafting density data. </em>Objective: Estimate the grafting density based on the sacrificial initiator method, where H-NMR is used to determine the degree of polymerization of PSPMA chains grown in bulk (alongside PSPMA chains grown on the surface; the methodology is described in the article). Files: overview file, with NMR intensity and used parameters (xls).<em>IRRAS data. </em>Objective: Determine the composition of PSPMA brush with varying crosslinker contents.Files: raw data (xls)<em>Nano-indentation data</em>. Objective: Determine the mechanical properties of polymer brushes with varying degrees of crosslinking.Files: raw data of the loading curves (xls), an overview of the Young's moduli fitted with the Hertzian curves, including the ones that we considered in our average Young's modulus value and the ones that we excluded based on our selection criteria (max. load values of 0.21-0.27 uN) (xls). <em>In-situ ellipsometry data. </em>Objective: Determine the swelling ratios of PSPMA brushes with varying crosslinker contents and swollen in various media, e.g. H2O, 0.1 M KCl and 0.1 M KOH to obtain insights in the polymer-solvent interaction.Files: dry and swollen heights of PSPMA brushes with varying crosslinker contents in H2O (xls), dry and swollen heights of PSPMA brushes (0 mol% TEGDMA) in 0.1 M KCl and in 0.1 M KOH (xls).
