Beyond its basic pharmacological function, simvastatin is a 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme increase the production of bone morphogenetic protein-2, differentiation of osteoblasts and matrix mineralization(1-3).it enhances angiogenesis through upregulation of vascular endothelial growth factors that improve the vascular supply, Moreover, simvastatin inhibits the proinflammatory cytokines and suppressing RANKL-mediated osteoclast activity which limits early bone resorption and gives a more balance between bone formation and bone remodeling. Assessing the effect of 1.2% simvastatin on early implant stability using resonance frequency analysis.
