Processed data and analysis code for winter surface-based temperature inversions across Northern Hemisphere permafrost regions

This repository contains processed data and analysis code supportingthe study of winter surface-based temperature inversions acrossNorthern Hemisphere permafrost-dominant regions during 2003–2023. The archived materials include processed inversion metrics, regionalannual series, detrended correlation results, XGBoost and SHAP outputs,representative-event information, figure-source data, and analysisscripts. Raw ERA5, ERA5-Land, ESA CCI Permafrost, ETOPO2022, and IGRA dataare not redistributed. These original datasets are available fromtheir respective public repositories. Their variables, temporal coverage,spatial processing, and preprocessing procedures are documented inthe manuscript and README file.
