This dataset contains the cosmogenic ³He measurements for two sediment samples analyzed in the article "Evidence for Erosional Efficiency of Extreme Precipitation Events at a Multi-Decadal Time Scale, JGR Earth Surface." The (³He/⁴He)crush and (³He/⁴He)melt ratios represent the helium isotope ratios measured by crushing and melting, respectively. Ra is the ³He/⁴He ratio normalized to the atmospheric ratio of 1.39 × 10⁻⁶. Reported uncertainties are 1σ, and uncertainties in ³He/⁴He ratios and He concentrations were computed based on the reproducibility of standards and uncertainties in blank correction. [⁴He]melt represents the ⁴He concentration measured from melting olivines. [⁴He]radio corresponds to the radiogenic ⁴He produced over 1.9 × 10⁵ years (the average rock age across the drainage area). [³He]c represents the concentration of cosmogenic ³He, calculated as [³He]c = [³He]melt - [³He]magmatic, where [³He]magmatic = [⁴He]magmatic × (³He/⁴He)crush, and [⁴He]magmatic = [⁴He]melt - [⁴He]radio. For both samples, the nucleogenic ³He component is negligible (<2 × 10⁻³ at/g).
