Influence of butachlor treatment on microbial community composition in agroecosystems

Butachlor is a chloroacetanilides class of herbicides used for pre-emergence control of annual grass and broadleaf weeds. Metagenomic analysis reveals the influence of butachlor treatment on functional dynamics of microbiome in agroecosystems. Soil samples were collected from Bargarh district of Odisha, India. gDNA was extracted using commercial kit and subjected to sequencing.16S rRNA amplicon analysis of butachlor treated soil at various days after treatment revealed substantial shifts in the bacterial community structure.
