Ralstonia strains isolated in Guatemala

Prof. Tiffany Lowe-Power (UC Davis) has gathered this Ralstonia isolate collection from colleague Caitilyn Allen (University of Wisconsin). Strains were isolated by Amilcar Sanchez Perez (University of Wisconsin) between 2004 and 2005 in the Ipala, Chiquimula; Tiquisate, Escuintla; Tres Ceibas, Jutiapa; Monjas, Jalapa; Alamo,Tecun Uman; Agua Blanca, Jutiapa; Sanarate, El Progreso; and Los Llanos, Sanarate regions of Guatemala. Strains were isolated from tomato, banana, Solanum americanum, or soil. Sequencing, assembly, and analysis of these strains aid in better understanding of the genetic diversity of Ralstonia.
