VPRS 13989 Ministerial Recommendations of the Commission

This series reflects the requirement under section 36 of Forests Acts 1918 and 1958 that the Forests Commission maintain a record to keep the Minister of the Department informed of all State Forests and forestry policy business. This series records a listing of items of interest and recommendations to the Minister by the Commission, and the notation of ministerial approval.The topics covered by the series are the same as those covered by the Minutes (VPRS 3222) and Schedule of Decisions (VPRS 13990). They include: plant replacement schedules; vermin; farm forestry loans; officers authorised to grant licences; road and track maintenance; plantation establishment and tending; forestry offences; pulping and logging; land purchase; National Parks, reserves and resorts, and royalty rates.Each agenda item is allocated a reference number, brief description, decision number, a ministerial recommendation, and date/s. When ministerial approval is obtained this is noted below the ministerial recommendation. The date of approval, decision number, and sometimes a file number, may also be listed. The reference numbers provided are the registration numbers listed in the Agenda to Meetings (VPRS 13963) and Minutes of Meetings (VPRS 3222), and would appear to be correspondence numbers.
