RodoSol-ALPR

This dataset features two distinct license plate layouts: the Brazilian standard and the Mercosur standard, with half of the images depicting motorcycles. It was developed to serve as a challenging testbed for automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) systems, particularly for addressing the complex scenario of motorcycle license plates that have two lines of characters. The primary application scenarios of the RodoSol-ALPR dataset center on improving the performance of ALPR systems in real-world traffic monitoring, especially their recognition capabilities across different license plate layouts and complex environments.
