Spatialized Ames, IA housing dataset - Anonymized

This dataset introduces spacially-explicit variables to the pre-existing Ames, Iowa housing dataset. There are 44 new variables for 2930 individual observations containing proportional land cover values that describe the land cover around each home, based on the Federal National Land Cover Data. There are 3 data lengths availible to each home: 300m, 600m and 1000m. The code repository is desgined in a way that enables not only recreation but also reapplication to other regions within the United States, it is hosted here: https://github.com/Ames-Anonymized/Spatialized-ames-Anonymized.git (This version has been anonymized for review). This updated version now distiguishes NLCD year data rather than pulling from 2011 for all years. The following year key determines the proportional values in the form NLCD Year -> Housing Year 1, Housing Year 2. 2006 -> 2006 & 2007, 2008 -> 2008 & 2009, and 2011 -> to 2010. Years were determined by the availibility of the legacy NLCD year via the FedData Package in R. Should the annual data released at the end of 2024 become accessible in a similar fashion this dataset can be updated for increased accuracy.
