Competing species and Saplings from the same species around an adult tree in a circle with 6m of radius

Factor being analysed : 1. Sapling Density around the adult tree of the same species and Density of the competing species around that specific adult in a circle with the radius of 6meter; 2. Density of light and Sapling density around the adult from the same species and also the competing species density. This experiment is planned in order to identify if there is any co-relation between the sapling density of a species around its adult and density of competing species in the radius of 6 meter around the adult tree. In order to identify whether there are any correlation between light density and sapling density, light coverage was also taken into account. Methods An adult tree was selected from any species such as oak, maple, buckthorn and elm from the woodlot. After selecting the adult tree, transverse was used to make a circle around that tree with the radius of 6 meter. Sapling density of the adult tree was counted within the circle. And also the numbers of competing species were counted around the adult tree within the same circle of 6 meter of radius. Light coverage was measured by holding a square by fingers towards the top of the tree within the circle. Light coverage was measured in four places within the circle and the average was taken out of them.
