Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1978, Omnibus no. 12

Danish Gallup Omnibus Data, 1978 comprises 24 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1978. Each of the surveys contains a number of recurring questions as well as a number of special questions (concerning topical events). #The questions common to all 1978 omnibuses are: the respondent's reading habits as regards newspapers, weeklies, fortnightlies, and monthlies; cinema visits; use of public transport; party pre- ference; durables; smoking habits; degree of urbanization; sex; age; marital status; number of persons (children, adults) in household; type of dwelling; the respondent's occupation, edu- cation, income; occupation, education and form of wages of the head of household; occupation of the housewife; total income of the household. #The special questions of this omnibus deal with: #Access to TV in household; black-and-white TV or colour TV; watching and getting foreign TV stations; foreign TV broadcasts versus Danish TV broadcasts; commercials on TV; the members of staff of the Danish TV channel (are they socialists or non-socialists?); dog in household; the inconvenience (to others) of dogs; the dog owner's regard for other people's feel- ings; fines for dog messes; and ban on keeping dogs in towns. # #Some of the special questions (concerning topical events recur several times: # #Recurring special questions: Omnibus no: # #Denmark: monarchy or republic 01, 04 #The performance of the Government 05, 06, 15 #Israel versus the Arab states 05, 08 #Attitude to Danish membership of the EC 08, 11, 24 #Lowering of the electoral age 01, 11, 14, 15, 18 #TV in household 12, 15 #Foreign TV programmes 12, 15 #Membership of trade union 15, 18, 19, 23 #Collective bargaining 15, 21, 23 #Unless otherwise stated, the rest of this study description deals with the recurring questions only.
