These files were withdrawn from the Registered public accountants files. Files were with-drawn for the following reasons: termination of employment in the field of public accounting; non-payment of registration fees; and death. A file could also be removed under Section 25 of the Public Accountants Registration Act where after investigation the Board found a complaint of misconduct against a public accountant substantiated. Each file generally includes the following: a register card taken from the Register of registered public accountants; payment of annual fees registration card; certificate of registration to practice as a public accountant; payment of roll fee and application for renewal of registration notices; and correspondence regarding application to be registered as a public accountant and the accountant's removal from the register.
