Linezolid (LZD) belongs to one of the very few efficacious options for the treatment of infections caused by Mycobacterium abscessus. However, resistance to LZD is emerging among M. abscessus, and knowledge regarding the resistance mechanism is by large unknown. In this study, we sequenced 96 M. abscessus isolates and illustrated the genome features of LZD resistant and non-LZD resistance strains.
