The attached data represents AlertMarin registrations by zip code.
A best effort has been made to deduplicate the registrations using the mobile phone number registered (the vast majority of people registering register a mobile phone number)
The data included here is not very precise for a number of reasons:
The system allows each person to include up to five different locations to be alerted for (i.e. home, work, spouse’s work, kids’ schools, relatives’ homes)
People’s names, street names, and even some jurisdictions have variations which makes it difficult to determine a duplicate registration.
People tend not to update the location list in their accounts when, for instance, their child leaves a school.
