资源简介:
Here we present the original algorithm constructed for the simulation of the social organization process in wild camelids, based on females’ independent decision-making process, as well as the defined payoff function used for estimating each female’s individual fitness.
This model considers 3 indepedent variables:
t = Time steps of the simulation.
M0 = Fixed number of camelid males in the simulation.
F0 = Fixed number of camelid females in the simulation.
Also, this model includes a total of six parameters and distributions:
R – Resource distribution among territories, expressed in terms of male camelids’ consumption.
s – Efficiency distribution among the males in securing food resources.
c – Subsistence cost of each female in the harem, expressed in terms of male camelids’ consumption.
H – Mean field environmental cost (synthesizing hazards such as predation, climatic events, interspecific competition, etc.).
b – Energetic cost associated with bachelor harassment toward females.
X – Group-switch penalty parameter, applied during the calculation of females’ potential payoff distribution.
The outcomes derived from this code will be soon featured in the publication "From Female Choice to Social Structure: Modeling Harem Formation in Camelids" authored by González T., Abramson G. and Laguna M.F.
