Single-cell transcriptome sequencing of rumen

As the most important evolutionary innovation and unique organ in ruminants, the rumen plays an important role in adaptation to their complex ecological environments. However, the cellular basis of its complex morphological structure and innovative functions remains largely unknown. Here, we performed single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to explore the cellular heterogeneity and functions of specific cell types involved in the rumen development.
