This series consists of a single outward letter book used by the Shire Engineer for the Beechworth United Shire. Letter books were the means by which copies of correspondence despatched from the office and other items were retained for future reference. Items within this volume include letters documenting the Engineer's official duties and reports to Council. The existence of volumes before or after the volume in archival custody is unknown.
