HINDI TRANSLATION, VALIDATION AND TEST-RETEST RELIABILITY OF FOOT AND ANKLE ABILITY MEASURE (FAAM) QUESTIONNAIRE FOR PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC ANKLE INSTABILITY

Chronic Ankle Instability (CAI) is a prevalent musculoskeletal condition. While multiple language versions of the Foot and Ankle Ability Measure (FAAM) exist, a Hindi version has not yet been developed for the Indian population. the study aims to translate and culturally adapt the FAAM into Hindi and assess its content validity and test-retest reliability. Translation followed by Beaton et al. (2000). A total of 51 participants with a history of recurrent ankle sprains were recruited to assess the psychometric properties of the translated scale. Content validity was evaluated through the Delphi survey, and test-retest reliability was measured by administering the FAAM twice within a 4-6 hour interval.
