资源简介:

PLEASE NOTE: The flood map adoption process formally began on December 31, 2019 with FEMA’s release of these preliminary flood maps, which will be followed by a series of community meetings arranged by FEMA officials to occur from February 3-6, 2020. (see below for schedule of meetings). Following the community meetings, FEMA will publish in the Federal Register a notice of the proposed flood maps, as well as two public notices in the Sun Sentinel, after which, a six-month appeal period will commence. At the end of the appeal period, sometime in late 2020 or early 2021, FEMA will have an indefinite amount of time to resolve the appeals and issue a letter of final determination. Once FEMA makes the final determination, there will be six months for the County Commission to adopt the flood maps before they take effect sometime in late 2021 or early 2022. DIRECTIONS: Type in your address in the Find Address box in the upper right hand corner. (Example: 1 NE 5th Street, 33060) Once the pop-up box designating the approximate location of your address on the map appears, find your house and click it. A new pop-up window will appear with the FEMA Flood Designations Preliminary 12/31/2019 and the FEMA Flood Designations Effective 8/18/2014 for your address (NOTE: Certain areas of the county have unchanged flood zone designation, and Flood Map Pane will not be updated. If you are within this area, only the FEMA Flood Designations Effective 8/18/2014 will be shown in the pop-up window). Designations: Zone AO Flood insurance rate zone that corresponds to areas of shallow flooding (usually sheet flow on sloping terrain) with average depths between 1 and 3 feet. Mandatory flood insurance purchase requirements apply. Zone AE Flood insurance rate zone that corresponds with flood depths greater than 3 feet. Mandatory flood insurance purchase requirements apply. Zone AH Flood insurance rate zone that corresponds to areas of shallow flooding with average depths between 1 and 3 feet. Mandatory flood insurance purchase requirements apply. Zone VE Flood insurance rate zone that corresponds to coastal areas that have additional hazards associated with storm waves. Mandatory flood insurance requirements apply. Zone X-Shaded (0.2 PCT Annual Chance Flood Hazard) Zone X Moderate flood hazard areas, labeled Zone B or Zone X (Above 500 Year Flood Plain) are also shown on the FIRM, and are the areas between the limits of the base flood and the 0.2-percent-annual-chance (or 500-year) flood. The areas of minimal flood hazard, which are the areas outside the SFHA and higher than the elevation of the 0.2-percent-annual-chance flood, are labeled Zone C or Zone X (Below 500 Year Flood Plain).
