R&DblueprintforactiontopreventepidemicsTheR&DBlueprintisaglobalstrategyandpreparednessplantoensurethattargetedR&Dcanstrengthentheemergencyresponsebybringingmedicaltechnologiestopatientsduringepidemics.TheBlueprintaimstoreducethetimebetweenthedeclarationofaninternationalpublichealthemergencyandtheavailabilityofeffectivetests,vaccinesandmedicinesthatcanbeusedtosavelivesandavertcrisis.Attherequestofits194MemberStates,WHOhasconvenedabroadglobalcoalitionofexpertstodeveloptheBlueprintandaplatformforacceleratedR&D.TheBlueprintwillbepresentedtoMemberStatesatthenextWorldHealthAssemblyinMay2016.
