The PIECE project (Ghent University, ECM research group, www.ecm.ugent.be) starts from the AIDRES dataset on future demand for renewable energy in 6 industry sectors and develops an agile tool to support industrial emission reduction by clustering energy demand and providing low-carbon energy solutions. The RES2Go tool assesses energy needs and suggests synergies across industrial processes and clusters in Europe by identifying efficient transition pathways towards climate neutrality.
