Transcriptomic studies of two diploid species G.tomentella and G.syndetika and their tetraploid G.dolicocarpa

Soybean aphids (Aphis glycines) are a new problem in the United States, having arrived here about fifteen years ago. There is relatively little natural aphid resistance in cultivated soybeans and most of the known soybean resistance genes have been overcome by the aphids.The study aims to determine whether there are strong aphid resistance genes in wild soybeans that can be eventually moved into soybean breeding programs.
