Next generation whole genome sequencing of Plasmodium falciparum using NextSeq500 technology in India. Plasmodium falciparum 3D7

This submission reports the first Whole Genome Sequencing and associated bioinformatic analyses of P. falciparum strain 3D7, performed in India by Eurofins India Pvt. Ltd at its Bengaluru division within 30 days. Although we used a laboratory strain, our findings establish that accessible and timely NGS in India be accomplished and can be extended to clinical isolates and field strains of P. falciparum to understand the genetic diversity in parasites within India.
