The Prairie Falcon (Falco mexicanus) is a falcon that lives in the arid open countries, alpine tundras, shortgrass prairies, and high deserts of North America. They can be found in southern Canada through the western United States, and into northern Mexico. The plumage is a warm gray-brown.
