The list contains names and titles of works in contemporary Chinese literature, film, theatre and visual arts (mostly from 2012 and later), analysed across 5 topics: TOPIC 1: Party – society relations, social contract TOPIC 2: Conceptions of an ideal society TOPIC 3: Aspirations of youth/middle class TOPIC 4: Social movements/trends TOPIC 5: Social issues/problems The list is the dataset used in research on Chinese contemporary culture as part of WP2 "Society and Culture" of the China Horizons - Dealing with a Resurgent China (DWARC), Horizon Europe research grant number 101061700.
