Phyllosphere and Endophyte Metagenome. Phyllosphere

In this project we investigate phyllosphere microbial communities. Especially individual and interactive effects of host species, local species richness, local neighborhood assembly crossed with other biotic factors (e.g. plants traits, herbivory) as well as abiotic factors (e.g. microclimate) on phyllosphere microbial diversity and community composition. Additionally we use leaf-surface sterilization to distinguish between endophytic and phyllosphere communities.
