Reference data set for the volume prediction system of ionization chambers and aerosol cans using radiography, computed tomography and artificial intelligence (LUT), phase I, project no INFOSTRATEG-VII/0002/2023. Description: ENG: The main directories (folders) are packed in .ZIP format The sampled_generated_cans_ok directory contains two subdirectories and one file with descriptive data. The images subdirectory includes 20 sample image files named in the format can_i.png, where i is the index of the can, ranging from 0 to 19. Each of these files represents an image of a single aerosol can from the sample set. The masks subdirectory contains the corresponding segmentation mask files, also labeled according to the index i as mask_i.png. These masks are used for the precise identification of can regions in the images and enable segmentation analysis or further image processing. The main sampled_generated_cans_ok directory also includes a file named parameters.csv, which contains detailed parameters and metadata for each sample. Each row in this file corresponds to the images and masks with the same index i. The data includes the volume of liquid in the can, pixel size, and physical or other specific characteristics of each can, enabling accurate analysis and interpretation in tasks such as classification, segmentation, or volume estimation. The sample_generated_chambers_ok directory contains two main subdirectories: images and masks. The images subdirectory includes 20 randomly selected image files representing chamber images (e.g., chmbrXX.png), which originate from the original dataset. The masks directory contains the corresponding segmentation masks (e.g., maskXX.png), with file numbering aligned with the image filenames, making it easy to associate each mask with its corresponding image. Additionally, the main sample_generated_chambers_ok directory contains a file named sample_metadata.csv. Each row in this file corresponds to a single image-mask pair and includes detailed data describing the properties of that sample, such as image generation parameters, chamber characteristics, or other metadata linked to the specific file number (indexed based on the filename number). The RT_cans directory contains X-ray images of ionization chambers. Selected X-ray images of ionization chambers are presented, with the chamber index in the name and the pixel size [um] indicated after the dash. The RT_cans catalogue contains X-ray images of cans made of various materials (aluminum, steel, polymer, glass) with different nominal capacities from 10-750 ml, whose can index takes values from 1-46.The first number in the name refers to the can index from 1-46, the second number is the pixel size [um], and the third number is the capacity [ml]. The TK_cans catalogue contains tomographs of selected aerosol cans made of various materials (aluminum, steel, polymer, glass) with different nominal capacities from 10-750 ml, whose can index takes values from 1-46.The first number in the name refers to the can index from 1-46, the second number is the pixel size [um], and the third number is the capacity [ml]. The TK_cans catalogue contains the source files of tomographic scans in the default CT scanner extension, i.e. .jpg file format. All other images or computed tomography scans are of the same nature as the examples presented, and all files are available from the Project Leader.
