SOLICIT Indicator Ontology

SOLICIT (semantic ontology-labelled indicator contextualisation taxonomy) is an ontology for contextualising data and indicators. The ontology integrates the common core ontologies with the concepts of the ISO 11179 metadata registry standard, providing a common mid-level ontology (sitting just beneath the common core ontologies), which can be extended at a specific domain level. SOLICIT is therefore a generic data-/indicator-contextualisation framework allowing a common model for presenting and describing data and indicators.
