Assets\r\nThe assets include both community and operating\r\nassets in the following four categories:\r\nCommunity assets\r\nThese assets are the State’s archival collection. The\r\ncollection was re-valued in 2012 - 2013 at $258.3m.\r\nBuilding assets\r\nRecords repositories for storage of the State\r\nArchives and the State Government’s non-current\r\nrecords are located at North Melbourne and\r\nBallarat. The Victorian Archives Centre in North\r\nMelbourne, including land, was valued in 2012\r\n-2013 and is now valued at $59.9m.\r\nMotor vehicles\r\nPublic Record Office Victoria operates two vehicles:\r\na sedan and a station wagon.\r\nPlant and operating equipment\r\nOperating assets are used for the upkeep of the\r\nphysical and digital repositories so public records\r\ncan be stored safely and made available for public\r\ninspection.\r\nCosts comprise operating costs.
