Attacks on TV newsroom employees in the U.S. 2021, by market

A survey investigating the safety of newsroom staff and journalists in the United States found that 20.4 percent of respondents from non-satellite TV stations said that their staff had been attacked in 2021. TV news staff in smaller markets were less likely to have been targeted, whereas in the top 25 markets in the country a total of 31 percent had experienced physical or verbal attacks that year.
