For the environmental dimension, (Koivisto et al. 2022, Koivisto et al. 2022a) established a tiered approach integrating data from emission monitoring campaigns, a mechanistic mass flow model for local exhaust ventilation (LEV) filter retention, and a single-compartment Gaussian plume model to estimate NMs’ accumulation in the soil top layer following ECHA Chapter R.16, A.16-3.3.6 for PEClocal soil compartment calculations (Koivisto et al. 2022a). The corresponding dataset builds upon the exposure campaigns results, incorporating aerosol emissions rates (mg/min), modelled airborne concentration (mg/m³) under defined operating conditions, environmental exposure, and deposition dynamics (soil-water partition coefficient, first-order leaching rate constants, peak deposition fluxes for surface accumulation over time) and predicted accumulation in upper soil layer (µg/kg ww) over a 10-year production scenario.
