NRS-20561 | Papers of the Cabinet Standing Committee on Social Policy

This series comprises files of meeting papers which document the issues considered by the Cabinet Standing Committee on Social Policy including agenda, meeting minutes, briefing notes, committee recommendations, and reports. The Committee was responsible for endorsing the Government's Social Policy Framework following consultation with ministers.(1) The Social Policy Framework was based on underlying principles of 'Stronger, Smarter, Healthier, Safer' and was part of the Government's response to the final report of the Commission of Audit into Government Expenditure 2012.The folders from government agencies and non-government organisations on a wide range of social issues such as: the Social Policy Framework, social housing, child protection, gap analysis to inform iconic social policy reforms, social investment strategy, sexual assaults on children, social issues in Aboriginal communities including Aboriginal education, the whole-of-government child and youth policy framework, families with complex needs, strategic planning for mental health, inter-country adoption, victims of crime, the role of the public guardian, and homelessness. Papers are held in file folders and placed in date order with an abbreviated date used a control number (e.g. 41213 used for 04/12/2013, 241013 used for 24/10/2013).  The dates used are the meeting dates, with a single folder used for each meeting.
