NOAA Bathymetry Index
收藏资源简介:
Overview This feature service provides an index of bathymetry and topo-bathymetry projects associated with NOAA, the National Geodetic Survey, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and related partners. The layers represent project footprints and index records for coastal, riverine, lake, island, and nearshore survey areas across the United States, its territories, and selected Great Lakes and island locations. Feature Layers Project index layers include many region- and year-specific datasets that organize bathymetric survey coverage for places such as the Great Lakes, Gulf Coast, Atlantic Coast, Puget Sound, Chesapeake Bay, New York and New Jersey, Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Alaska, and U.S. island territories. Survey and restoration areas capture named study areas, shoreline segments, river reaches, barrier islands, bays, and coastal embayments tied to topobathy, lidar, and bathymetric mapping efforts. Reference links support access to additional project information through associated URLs for each index record. Geographic Coverage The service spans a broad national and territorial footprint, including coastal waters, inland lakes, major estuaries, and island environments in the United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, and Hawaii. Use Cases Locating bathymetric and topobathymetric survey extents Organizing coastal mapping project catalogs Supporting shoreline, habitat, and restoration planning Finding reference layers for elevation and seabed mapping workflows Cataloging survey coverage by year, region, and project area
