Bulk RNA-sequencing of 60 muscle samples from C57Bl/6NCrl males gavaged every 4 days for 84 days with 0.1 to 10 µg/kg TCDD or sesame oil vehicle, half of whom were exposed to ~70 mg/kg/day of simvastatin (n=5 per dose). Gavaging and tissue collection occurred between ZT0-3. Overall design: Beginning on post-natal day (PND) 30, male C57BL/6 mice were repeatedly gavaged every 4 days for 84 days with 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (0.1, 0.3, 1, 3, or 10 µg/kg TCDD) or sesame oil vehicle, half of whom were exposed to ~70 mg/kg/day of simvastatin supplemented in their chow (n = 5 per dose). Mice were sacrificed on PND 114 with CO2. Gavaging and tissue collection occurred between ZT0 and ZT3. Tissues were flash frozen in liquid nitrogen and stored at -80°C. For total RNA extraction using trizol, 100 mg was used per muscle sample. Only samples which passed Nanodrop and RIN quality control were used. 150 bp paired-end RNA reads were sequenced using a Novaseq 6000.
