Replication Data for: The Rise of Women Vice-Presidential Candidates in Latin America

There are two Excel files for replication. The first one contains data on presidential tickets in Latin America from 1978 to 2022, including only parties that received at least 5% of the vote share (n = 471). The second file systematizes the political qualifications of candidates in tickets featuring a male presidential candidate and a female vice-presidential candidate, selected from the first dataset (n = 129). The RData file contains the tickets dataset and the additional variables (GDP and V-Dem's polyarchy index).
