The IMF Primary Commodity Price Database is a monthly-updated repository maintained by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). It contains price data for 75 major primary commodities and 8 composite indices, with historical records tracing back to 1980. Built on the IMF Primary Commodity Market System, the database provides commodity price information for regions including the global market, the United States and Europe, with prices quoted in nominal US cents per pound. Additionally, the database includes country-specific commodity price indices for 182 economies starting from 1962, which are weighted using commodity-level trade data.
