Segmentation Masks of MIG/MAG Fillet Weld Joint Profile Images

This dataset contains the segmentation masks (.png) and the original images (.jpg) of 49 specimens of MIG/MAG fillet weld profiles. These imagens were taken using a fixed VGA camera so that the focal distance is constant. The segmentation masks cover only the weld regions (weld pool). The images and masks names are random and do not follow any pattern, although they are unique for every specimen. The suffix "_mask" was added to each mask name so that it can be easily mapped to its original image. This dataset can be used for welded area detection in weld profile images and for extracting geometric features.
