GNSS measurements of PS144 ice stations

Here we present raw and post processed GNSS data acquired at all ice stations of the 2024 PS144 Arcwatch-2 expedition to the central Arctic Ocean. Depending on the duration of the ice station and safety restrictions we were able to install between 3 and 6 GNSS reference stations per ice station. During the expedition Polarstern was moored to ten ice floes with the first ice station on 2024-08-16 and the last one on 2024-09-26. During the ice stations GNSS data were logged every 5s utilizing a Novatel Flexpak-6 GNSS receiver and were processed employing the Canadian Spatial Reference System Precise Point Positioning (CSRS-PPP) service (Tetreault et al, 2005). Furthermore we defined reference dates and times for each ice station for which we provide the post processed GNSS solutions in a separate table. Also manual ice thickness, freeboard and snow depth measurements were conducted at each GNSS station which are also included in the table. The post processed GNSS data can readily be used for drift correction and geocoding of different datasets acquired during the ice stations of PS144. The provided raw data can be post processed with other/own software if required.
