Supplementary material for: "When the Upper GI Tract Fails: upper GI stigmata of Chronic Intestinal Pseudo-Obstruction"

The dataset consists of a high-definition endoscopic video documenting the manifestations of the upper gastrointestinal tract in an adult patient affected by Chronic Intestinal Pseudo-Obstruction (CIPO). The video specifically shows extreme duodenal dilation (megaduodenum), absence of peristaltic activity, presence of food residues, and severe circumferential erosive esophagitis refractory to proton pump inhibitor (PPI) therapy.

The objective of the video is to provide rare iconographic documentation of the motor and structural alterations of the esophagus and duodenum in CIPO, highlighting the need for personalized endoscopic follow-up in these complex patients.

The video data were acquired during a surveillance esophagogastroduodenoscopy performed at the Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Unit of the Policlinico of Milan. The evaluation was integrated with clinical history data and high-resolution esophageal manometry (HRM).

The video will be presented as a poster/video contribution at ESGE Days 2026 (Milan, 16-18 May).
