Student Survey 1998

The seventh survey of the Student Survey continues to focus on the comparison between the old and the new federal states. It also covers the topics of university access, motives for studying and expectations; study strategies, course of studies and qualifications; study intensity, time required and duration of studies; study requirements, regulations and examinations; contacts, social climate and counseling; situation of teaching and quality of studies; student lifestyles and social situation; difficulties, impairments and burdens; university policy and student representation; professional orientations and labor market; political participation and social perceptions; demographic and educational biographical data; new media and Internet; self-employment and starting a business. The data are based on random samples at 13 universities and ten universities of applied sciences in West Germany and include 706 items (plus additionally created variables).
