Seasonal analysis of road embankments built on permafrost: the case of the Inuvik Tuktoyaktuk Highway

The data were measured in the active layer and the backfill material of a section of the Inuvik Tuktoyaktuk Highway (NWT, Canada) road embankment built on permafrost. Dataset consists of soil temperature and moisture, soil modulus obtained with a dynamic penetrometer (PANDA) and a portable deflectometer (LWD); stress and strain generated in both layers by the passage of a heavy vehicle at various speed and thaw period.
