Supplemental material obtained from the paper "Public knowledge of alien species: a case study on aquatic biodiversity in North Iberian rivers".<br>In the file "Supplementay material 1" is available the questionnaire from the social research. In the file " Supplementary material 2" is the raw data from 140 surveys. In the file "Supplementary material 3_Table S1" is the list of aquatic species and their status in Asturias together with the results from the official inventory, electrofishing results and social survey in the 4 rivers. And in file "Supplementary material 4_Table S2" is the compilation of data from official inventory, electrofishing results, social survey and releases in public media regarding non indigenous species.<br>
